One Song Every Fan of Gloomy Pop Should Check Out

Why should well adjusted people have all the fun? Sometimes it feels pretty goddamn great to revel in an unapologetically morose song. This song by Austin, TX band My Jerusalem has been scratching that itch in A+ fashion lately, driven by the singer's exquisite baritone and buoyed by fantastic production. This song isn't new....it's from last year's "A Little Death"...but the band had totally escaped my radar until recently.  From what I can tell they spent last year touring with The Sounds and X, and have a few dates of their own on the books (scroll down for those).

Everybody says
Just keep away
These jealous wives
With hands like knives
I've seen kingdoms burn
For lesser things
Than loose lips
And wandering eyes

The video for the song ticks all the dark and peculiar boxes too.....
